Policy Implementation

The Policy Implementation Department at Rubavu Technical College is specifically responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and adherence to policies that relate to students. The department works to ensure that all students understand and follow the institution's policies, including academic regulations, codes of conduct, attendance, and other student-related guidelines. The team is tasked with monitoring student behavior, evaluating compliance with the institution’s policies, and taking necessary actions when policies are not followed. They also provide support to students, ensuring that they are well-informed about their rights and responsibilities, while promoting a safe and productive academic environment. By ensuring the consistent application of student policies, the department helps maintain discipline, fairness, and academic integrity within the college.

Discipline Officer

As the Discipline Officer at Rubavu Technical College, Mr. Richard Claude Ruhumuriza is responsible for maintaining discipline and upholding the institution’s code of conduct among students. He ensures that all students adhere to the college’s rules and regulations, addressing any violations promptly and fairly. Mr. Ruhumuriza works closely with the Policy Implementation Department to monitor student behavior, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive learning environment. He plays a key role in promoting respect, accountability, and responsibility within the student body, fostering an atmosphere conducive to academic success and personal growth. The Discipline Officer is also responsible for providing guidance and counseling to students who may need support in adhering to the institution’s policies.

Student Coordinators

Rubavu Technical College has dedicated Student Coordinators who play an important role in supporting the personal and social well-being of students. The college assigns both a Patron and a Matron to provide guidance and coordination for male and female students respectively.

-Mr. Maurice Manirakiza – Patron (Boys’ Coordinator) He is responsible for overseeing the welfare, discipline, and general conduct of male students. He provides mentorship, guidance, and ensures that boys are supported both academically and socially.

-Ms. Diane Uwineza – Matron (Girls’ Coordinator) She ensures the well-being, safety, and proper conduct of female students. She also offers support, counseling, and guidance to help girls thrive in a safe and respectful environment. Together, the Patron and Matron work closely with school leadership and the discipline office to create a nurturing environment where students feel cared for and supported throughout their academic journey.
