RTC Launches Ordinary Level Section to Enhance Quality Education
Rubavu Technical College (RTC) is proud to announce the launch of its Ordinary Level section, aimed at providing quality education to younger students. The initiative is in line with the school’s commitment to support the Rwandan government's efforts in ensuring accessible and reliable education for all students.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Singirankabo William, the Legal Representative of RTC-TSS, highlighted that this new section is part of the college's ongoing efforts to contribute to Rwanda’s national education objectives. "We believe that starting early with a strong foundation is key to helping students achieve academic success and become responsible citizens in the future," he explained.
The Ordinary Level program at RTC will offer students a well-rounded education with a focus on both academic excellence and practical life skills. The college has invested in modern teaching resources and innovative teaching methodologies to ensure that students not only excel in their subjects but also acquire essential skills needed in today’s world. With a highly dedicated teaching staff, RTC is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.
The program will emphasize collaborative learning, where students work together on projects, engage in hands-on activities, and develop teamwork and communication skills. These competencies are crucial for students as they prepare for higher education and future careers. "Our approach fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, all of which are essential for success in any field," added Mr. Singirankabo.
In addition to academics, RTC will offer extracurricular activities, workshops, and community service initiatives. These experiences will empower students to apply their learning in real-world situations, helping them to develop problem-solving skills and contribute positively to their communities. The school encourages both parents and community members to actively support this educational journey, as their involvement is key to reinforcing the value of education for young learners.

Previously, RTC focused on providing education in Levels 3, 4, and 5 across various departments, including Electronics and Telecommunications, Automobile Technology, Tourism, Food and Beverage Operations, and short courses. With the introduction of the Ordinary Level section, RTC is expanding its reach to nurture and develop the leaders of tomorrow, helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we look forward to the positive impact this new program will have on our students and the broader community. At RTC, we are dedicated to shaping future leaders who will not only excel in their academic pursuits but also embody the values of resilience, creativity, and social responsibility.
